Overview
Kolora Farming is a 6700-ha operation located 35km east of Dysart and grows sorghum, corn, wheat, and chickpeas.
Looking to upgrade his dryer, Brian needed a model that was better suited for the size of their operations.
The Challenge
Brian’s operations had outgrown the grain dryer he was using to process his corn and sorghum.
The dryer had become too labour intensive and took a painstakingly four hours to process 20 tonnes.
The Solution
Looking to improve his operations, Brian sought out Alvan Blanch Australia to go over concepts and designs for a dryer system, matching him with a double-flow grain dryer.
With his new dryer, Kolora Farming now has the capability of drying 30 tonnes per hour.
The Outcome
“Thanks to our dryer, we can harvest about four to five weeks earlier than what we’d do if we didn’t have a dryer - it reduces the risk.
“Alvan Blanch is an excellent company to work with. They’re friendly, really approachable, and they go out of their way to sort out any problem you’re facing,”
